Maintenance & Audits

Playquip has been licensed to carry out audits on playgrounds and play equipment for many years, and understands the importance of these audits both as a tool to improve safety as well as to ensure that playgrounds are maintained in a safe manner.  Maintenance plans are available to guarantee the safety of your playground in compliance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4486.1-1997. We will guide you through these maintenance programs to establish a safe environment for your children.

Audits are undertaken in an independent manner whether the equipment is supplied by Playquip or other manufacturers to ensure that an objective review is undertaken.  Any repairs and upgrades that are indicated in the audit report can be undertaken by Playquip or an independent contractor. The reports provide remedies and potential actions which are the responsibility of the client to discharge. Playquip will not be responsible for taking corrective action on any of the noted issues, however, we can provide quotations and carry out works specified if commissioned by the client.

A Safety Management System must be established to counteract any serious defects that put safety at risk. Any faults need to be rectified without delay. Regular inspection of playground equipment and under surfaces is a mandatory requirement in order to guarantee continued safe performance and prevention from serious accidents.

Playquip can design and implement a maintenance program tailored specifically for each individual playground, whether installed by Playquip or other manufacturers.  Speak to a Playquip consultant to find out more.
